New York Times bestselling children's author Lindsay Currie visits the Central Resource Library to celebrate her spooky, puzzle-packed mysteries for young readers. Currie, known for blending mystery, history and a measured dose of chills, talks about her writing journey and where she finds inspiration, and previews new work including The Secret Bookstore Sleuth Society, the first book in a new mystery series. A Q&A and book signing follow, and Rainy Day Books will have copies for sale. It suits middle-grade readers who enjoy spooky stories, along with their parents. The program runs 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16.
