South Branch Library in Kansas City, Kansas, holds a holiday open house where children - and friendly pets - can have a holiday photo taken with Santa. The evening also has treats and holiday crafts for kids. It runs for an hour and a half on a Monday evening in early December and is listed for children, teens and adults, so the whole family can come together. No registration is shown on the library's event page; just drop in during the open house. Bring a camera or phone for the Santa photo, and keep pets leashed or carried.
