An escape-room-style history adventure at Lanesfield Historic Site near Edgerton, run by the Johnson County Museum. Groups start in the visitor center with a costumed schoolteacher, then head into the real 1904 one-room schoolhouse to solve the mystery of the missing schoolmarm, learning local Lanesfield history along the way. Each booking is a private escape room for up to eight people, so it works for a family group. The museum says it is best for ages 10 and older, and someone in the party must be 18 or older. Sessions run between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. Johnson County Museum members get 20% off. Book a time through JCPRD registration.
