Summit Ice is Lee's Summit Parks & Recreation's 8,000-square-foot outdoor ice rink at the corner of Chipman and Douglas, the only outdoor rink in eastern Jackson County. The glass-walled rink has a patio with seating, open fire pits, string lights, selfie stations and street curling. The 2026-27 season opens Wednesday, November 25 (weather permitting). Open skate runs Monday and Wednesday 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3-10:30 p.m., Saturday 5-10:30 p.m. and Sunday noon-6 p.m., with longer hours over Thanksgiving and the winter break (closed Christmas Day). Saturday early-bird skating runs noon-3 p.m. Tickets are sold only at the welcome desk, not in advance. Skate, helmet and skate-trainer rentals are available, as are birthday packages with s'mores at the fire pit, pond hockey sessions and Saturday freestyle time for figure skaters. Lessons are planned for December 2026.
