Blue Diamond Library hosts an after-hours family movie on the first Friday evening of December, showing the 1990 holiday comedy "Home Alone" (rated PG). The screening starts once the library has closed for the day, giving families in the small village of Blue Diamond, near Red Rock Canyon, a quiet room for a seasonal classic. The movie suits school-age children and up; parents of younger kids may want to preview the slapstick burglar scenes. Families may bring their own snacks and drinks. It is free and open to the public, with seats given first come, first served. Call the branch with any questions.
