East Las Vegas Library introduces families to Día de los Muertos by having them build a small ofrenda. Staff explain what an ofrenda is, an altar of items dedicated to a loved one who has died, and why it is one of the holiday's most meaningful symbols, and then children create their own miniature version to take home. The hour-long program is open to all ages, from babies with parents to teens. It is free; seating is first come, first served and may be limited. Call 702.507.3517 with questions.
