The Wellington Branch Library marks Diwali with its 9th annual Festival of Lights on Saturday, November 14, from 2 to 4 pm. The two-hour celebration of South Asian culture features songs, traditional dances, Deusi and Bhailo performances (the Nepali festival songs sung door to door during Tihar), henna art and traditional sweets and snacks. It is listed for all ages and is a good chance for children to see and hear Diwali traditions up close. No registration method is listed on the event page.
