Minnesota has 17 species of snakes. At this drop-in nature cart in the Fort Snelling State Park visitor center, kids find out where they live, what they look like and whether they are dangerous to people, and can design their own species of snake to take home. Drop in between 1 and 3 p.m.; no registration required. It takes place on Friday, November 13, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Fort Snelling State Park, Thomas C. Savage Visitor Center (101 Snelling Lake Road, St. Paul, MN 55111).
