Halloween season is a natural time to talk about bats, and on Thursday, October 22 the naturalist at Washington Crossing Historic Park turns it into a game. From 5 to 6 pm families play fact or fiction, testing which bat beliefs hold up and which do not, and the group may even spot a live bat while it plays. The program meets at the park's General Greene Pavilion. It is free, the DCNR listing tags it for families, and a registration link is posted on that listing. For younger children, the same park runs Nature for Toddlers: Bats! on the morning of October 30.
