On Wednesday mornings this fall, the Delaware Nature Society opens its bird-banding station at Bucktoe Creek Preserve in Avondale, Pennsylvania, so visitors can see wild birds up close. The program is free and open to ages 8 and up, runs from 7:30 to 10:30 am, and is cancelled in windy or wet weather. Participants meet at 432 Sharp Road in Avondale, an address that is open only to program participants; register through the society's ticketing page.
