Plumpton Park Zoo in Rising Sun holds its Halloween party, Boo at the Zoo, on three October Saturdays, and two remain: October 24 and October 31, each from 11 am to 3 pm. Children come in costume to trick-or-treat around the zoo, which is free with admission for ages 2 to 12, take a hay ride for $5 per person and visit the animals. Treat stations inside the zoo are run by local businesses, police departments, fire companies and community groups. Admission is booked online through the zoo's website; the event page does not print the admission price. Outside summer the zoo is open 10 am to 5 pm, with last admission at 4.
