The City of Newark's Winterfest, combined this year with its Holiday Artisan Market in what the city calls a reimagined format, fills Old Paper Mill Road Park on Saturday, December 12, from 11 am to 4 pm. The city lists holiday entertainment, caroling, ice carving and demonstrations, along with local artisans, small businesses and nonprofits showing their holiday goods and treats, and describes it as a day of fun for the whole family celebrating the community's cultural heritage. If the weather is bad, the event moves to Sunday, December 13. The city's listing does not mention an admission fee.
