The Delaware Teen Science Cafe at the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science is a free evening program run for teens, by teens: the museum's Teen Leadership Team picks the topics, works with the speakers and promotes each cafe. The November session, Rockin' Relics, digs into prehistoric life, with hands-on activities in which participants work like paleontologists by excavating fossils, assembling dinosaur skeletons and making their own petrified prints. A typical cafe also includes a free pizza dinner with snacks and drinks, guest experts and activities. The program is only for students in grades 7-12; it is a drop-off event and parents or other adults cannot attend, apart from background-checked museum staff and volunteers. Pre-registration is required. Further cafes are planned for February and April 2027.
