Camden County Office of Sustainability

Camden County's Office of Sustainability brings back its Pinecone Palooza class for families at its Lakeland Road site in Blackwood. Participants learn about pinecones and the trees that produce them, then get hands-on time making three different pinecone crafts, festive decorations built from pinecones and other natural materials that go home with you. All supplies are provided. The class is a Saturday-morning session in mid-December, a good pre-holiday project for children who like nature crafts and for grown-ups looking for homemade decorations. Places are booked in advance through the Eventbrite link on the county's event page. The county listing does not give an age range or a fee, so check the registration page for those details before you go. It is one of the office's short Make & Take workshops on gardening and green living.
