The Billy Moore Days Parade is Avondale's historic Saturday-morning parade along Central and Western Avenues in Old Town Avondale. Families line the route with chairs and blankets to watch colourful floats, marching bands, dance groups, local businesses and community groups, and to cheer for this year's Grand Marshal and Junior Grand Marshal. It is a free street event that works for all ages, including strollers and small children who like bands and floats; arrive early for a curbside spot. The parade is part of the four-day Billy Moore Days heritage festival, whose carnival runs that afternoon and evening at Festival Fields Park (separate wristband prices).
