Ranger Kevin hosts an early-autumn evening of stargazing at Usery Mountain Regional Park in east Mesa. Clear skies permitting, the group views planets, galaxies, nebulae or star clusters through a portable telescope, identifies major constellations with a laser pointer and hears the stories connected to them. Billed as a family-friendly program; bring chairs if you want to sit, plenty of water and your sky questions. No pets. Meet at the trailhead staging area. Limit 20; register by phone with the Usery Nature Center by October 27.
