The Gilbert Days Parade, a family tradition that began more than 40 years ago to celebrate the paving of Gilbert Road, rolls through the Downtown Heritage District with more than 80 floats and parade entries. The 2026 theme is Hollywood in the Heritage District, so expect movie-inspired floats and characters chosen to be appropriate for all ages. Step-off is 8:30 a.m. on Gilbert Road at Juniper Avenue, heading south past Elliot Road; the parade is expected to finish by about 10:30. The route is fully accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and walkers, two ASL interpreters work at the announcement stand near Gilbert Storage, and the town publishes a sensory guide. No parking is allowed on Gilbert Road; use the free Vaughn Avenue and Hearne Way garages and expect road closures all morning. Leashed pets are welcome. Rain or shine.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read via Cloudflare Browser Run (gilbertaz.gov 403 to curl). Header, parade info and town calendar all say Saturday, November 21, 2026, 8:30–11 AM; the Road Closures tab still says 'Saturday, November 22' (left over from last year). Participant registration is full (waitlist) — that affects entrants, not spectators. Free-to-watch is a street parade with no fee printed.
