On Halloween Saturday the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh invites children to visit in costume for a spooky surprise. It is an unticketed, all-day happening during regular museum hours, 10 am to 5 pm, so families can come whenever suits them and combine it with the museum's exhibits and studios. The surprise is included with museum admission; no separate registration is listed. Best for younger children who want to show off a costume somewhere indoors before evening trick-or-treating.
