The Town of McCandless leads a Sunday-morning Migratory Bird Walk in North Park during fall migration. The hike is open to all ages and rated easy to moderate, which suits school-age children who can manage a woodland walk. Participants meet at the Beaver Shelter at the end of the parking lot at Pearce Mill Road and Babcock Boulevard.
