A late-afternoon Halloween for families of all ages at Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. Children come in costume and go 'trick or tree-ting' between activity tables set up in the Peirce Education Room and the Garden of the Five Senses, making themed arts and crafts and learning about creepy critters and plants along the way. The Garden's Scraposaurs sculptures are dressed up for the occasion, and the Canopy Café keeps extended hours for refreshments. The event runs two hours, is included with regular admission and needs no registration, so it works well as a drop-in outing after school on the Friday before Halloween. Part of the route is outdoors, so dress for the weather.
