Pittsburgh Musical Theater's Young Artist Production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical plays the Byham Theater from November 5 to 8, presented with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The Tony Award-winning musical follows Matilda, a neglected girl with astonishing wit and psychokinetic powers who, encouraged by her teacher Miss Honey, stands up to the fearsome headmistress Miss Trunchbull. Songs include 'Naughty', 'When I Grow Up' and 'Revolting Children'. Students of PMT Conservatory perform and run technical crew, with the CAPA Orchestra, so it is a good show for children to watch other young people on a major downtown stage. American Sign Language interpretation can be requested at least four weeks ahead.
