Pumpkin Lane is the fall weekend tradition at Pomeroy Living History Farm in Yacolt. Families ride a hay wagon down a lane lined with dozens of scarecrow-style 'pumpkin people' scenes, then pick a pumpkin from the patch, try the photo spots and explore the historic farm grounds, which include farm animals and several kids' activities. The farm says the historic house and blacksmith shop are open for viewing on October weekends when volunteers are available. Coffee and food vendors are on site (some may be cash only; there is no ATM). Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last admission at 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for kids ages 3 to 11; children 2 and under are free, and pumpkins are sold separately. Parking is free and only service animals are allowed. The remaining dates are the last two October weekends plus Sunday, November 1.
