Families can start Thanksgiving Day with the Big Bear Lake Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 26, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 am, based at Dank Donuts on Moonridge Road. The 3-mile fun run or walk is billed as family friendly with all ages welcome; longer 6- and 9-mile distances are also part of the awards. Early-bird entry is $43.40 for adults and $25 for youth under 18, rising after November 24; locals get $5 off with ID at packet pickup. Children under 5 participate free with a signed parent waiver but do not receive the shirt, medal or bib. Paid registrants get a custom shirt, medal, bib, timing and a shot at age-group and costume-contest prizes.
