A one-day drop-off ZooCamp at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, for children in grades K–6. Campers are grouped by grade with a different theme for each group. Kindergarten and first graders do 'Blazing Trails and Frosty Tails', learning how desert animals adapt to the cold. Second and third graders explore 'We Like to Move it, Move it' — all the ways desert animals and plants travel across sand, sky and globe. Fourth to sixth graders take on 'Leader of the Pack', looking at how painted dogs, naked mole rats, wallabies and goats organise into hierarchies. The day mixes wildlife activities, up-close animal encounters and arts and crafts. Registration is required online; cancellations more than 14 days ahead are refunded minus a deposit. EBT pricing is available.
