Winter-break ZooCamp at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens runs as two three-day sessions, December 21–23 and December 28–30, 2026, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, for grades K–6. Kindergarten and first graders in 'Birds of a Feather' learn about feathers, flight and fledglings. Grades 2–3 play 'Zoolympics', jumping like kangaroos, balancing like flamingos and racing like cheetahs to see how animal adaptations work. Grades 4–6 study 'Nocturnal Creatures', the desert plants and animals that come alive after sunset. Each session is booked as a three-day camp; a member price and an EBT price are offered. Cancellations more than 14 days ahead are refunded minus a $45 deposit.
