About this adventure
On Saturday afternoon, December 19, the Twentynine Palms Branch Library on Adobe Road holds a two-hour Library Winter Luau from 1 to 3 pm. The idea is a tropical getaway in the middle of the high-desert winter: beach-themed read-alouds, active party games, summery craft tables and a chance for kids to win prizes and reading incentives. It is billed as a families event for all ages, so it suits a mixed group of siblings, and the afternoon start fits around morning plans. The event page gives no fee or registration requirement. Families from the Marine base and around the Morongo Basin can combine it with browsing for winter-break reading.
