About this adventure
Every Sunday the Hesperia Recreation and Park District opens the James Roberts III Gymnasium at the Rick Novack Center for drop-in youth open gym. Players 17 and under get the basketball courts from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, followed by youth volleyball from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, with separate adult sessions later in the day. There is no registration: pay $10 per person in cash at the door, and each session is capped at 35 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early matters. Students need to bring a student ID. It is an informal pickup format rather than coached instruction, suited to tweens and teens who already know the basics and want court time on a weekend.
