Every Saturday afternoon the Randall Museum's Art Room becomes a drop-in studio for families. Museum art instructors lead a different hands-on project each week, and families can come in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 PM — sign-up is at the front desk between 12:30 and 3:30 PM. All ages are welcome, and the projects are pitched for children 4 and up; children under 8 need to be accompanied by a paying adult. The fee is $5 per person, with half off for museum members, while general admission to the Randall itself is free. The museum describes the workshop as a good introduction to its arts and crafts classes, and it pairs naturally with the Saturday Science session and the animal-ambassador meet-up held earlier the same day.
