Laya Arts Collective brings a Diwali celebration to the Montclair Branch of the Oakland Public Library. Families experience the Festival of Lights through Indian classical dance, storytelling, music and hands-on learning in a 45-minute Saturday-morning program. It is described as perfect for families and audiences of all ages, from toddlers to teens, and it gives children who have never celebrated Diwali an easy, welcoming introduction to its stories and traditions of light.
