Chabot Space & Science Center's Cosmic Camp-in is an overnight for families, scouts and groups with children aged 9–14 (siblings 4+ welcome with a ticket). The November 7–8, 2026 camp-in features the 'Our Solar System' workshop for grades 4–8, using models and demonstrations to unpack how the Sun, Earth and Moon work as a system. The night includes a catered hot dinner, exhibit exploration with a scavenger hunt, a live Zeiss Planetarium show, telescope viewing (weather permitting), a badge or mission patch and continental breakfast. Check-in is 5:15 p.m. at the Observatory Deck; it ends at 8:30 a.m. Adults must come with a child. An evening-only 'Moonlight Mission' ticket skips the overnight.
