Town of Danville recreation staff run a Friday-evening drop-off night for children ages 5 to 10 in the Valley Oak Room on Front Street, so parents can have an evening out. The program fills the evening with games, crafts and a movie. It runs from 6:30 to 10 pm. Registration is through the town's ActiveNet page; about a dozen openings remained when checked in mid-October. The fee is listed on the registration page rather than the calendar.
