Cascada de Flores leads a bilingual, participatory musical journey through Día de Muertos traditions from Mexico and Central America at the Belmont Library, replacing the regular storytime. With songs, dances, stories and many instruments, children send messages to loved ones on barriletes (kites), learn about calaveras (sugar skulls) and help build an ofrenda with music and memories. The 45-minute program is aimed at preschoolers and children up to 11 with their families.
