A Ready Reader program built around picture books about parades, including Balloons Over Broadway, Melissa Sweet's true story of the puppeteer behind the Macy's parade balloons. Children share their own experiences of parades and celebrations, then use craft materials to make a miniature paper parade entry that a small Ozobot robot carries along a parade route. The activity mixes reading, art and simple robotics and is aimed at new and emerging readers. Drop in any time during the 90-minute event.
