Children use dominoes and other cause-and-effect supplies to set up and trigger their own chain reactions at the Summit library in Tacoma's south end. It is part of the STEAM for Kids Discovery Lab series, which offers hands-on experiments and creative challenges meant to spark curiosity and let kids lead their own exploration. The library tags it for toddlers through tweens and families, so younger siblings can join in with an adult. Drop-in, 4:30–6 pm. A similar chain-reaction session is scheduled at the Fife library on January 15, 2027.
