The City of Largo kicks off its holiday season by lighting the Christmas tree in Largo Central Park, followed by an evening of entertainment, market vendors and food vendors as the park's holiday light displays glow. It is a walking event: no golf carts or private vehicles are allowed inside the park, and leashed dogs are welcome. Entry is free. Families with small children can ride the park's carousel (riders must be at least 36 inches; riders 36-42 inches ride with a ticketed adult) and Ferris wheel (56 inches to ride alone; younger children ride with a ticketed adult), with ride tickets at $6 each or 10 for $50. On-site parking costs $10 by credit card only, with proceeds going to local non-profits; free parking is offered at Largo Middle School and $5 parking at Largo High School. The detailed schedule had not been posted when checked.
