Patuxent River Park hosts the free 18th American Indian Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11 am to 4 pm, a celebration of Native American culture and heritage shared by diverse Native communities. Families can watch traditional and contemporary dances and live music, try a DIY arts and crafts area for all ages, see Native American horsemanship, listen to interactive storytelling, try archery and spear throwing, and browse an artisan market and Native food vendors. A genealogy exhibit and demonstrations round out the day. Admission is free and open to everyone.
