Spooky Springs is the City of Sandy Springs' yearly family Halloween event for young trick-or-treaters, held this year at Abernathy Greenway Playable Art Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM. Admission is free. Children go from one trick-or-treat candy station to the next, and there are face painting stations, fog machines and music. Three food vendors sell food: Dogs on Wheels (hot dogs, sausages and burgers), Spice the Americas (Pan-American cuisine) and Three Tikis (Hawaiian shave ice with toppings and ice cream). Parking is tight: the Abernathy Greenway parking lot closes for setup that day, on-site parking is for ADA parking only, and the city points drivers to limited parking at Sandy Springs Christian Church, 301 Johnson Ferry Rd. Residents of nearby neighborhoods are asked to walk, and anyone parking on side streets should use one side only and keep driveways and fire hydrants clear.
