The Virginia Highland District's Candy Crawl, billed as Atlanta's sweetest Halloween tradition, is set for Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Children in costume trick-or-treat at participating small businesses along North Highland Avenue, from Historic Atkins Park to Morningside Village, while parents get to know the neighborhood's shops and restaurants on foot. The district's public event calendar lists the crawl from 4 to 7 PM and describes it as fun for all ages and free until the treats run out. The district says the celebration continues with a block party, a pumpkin-smashing contest and other fall fun, and suggests stopping for dinner, dessert or a drink in the neighborhood before or after the crawl.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
The candy-crawl page prints the date but no time. Time, route and 'free until we run out of treats' come from the district's public Google Calendar ICS entry (DTSTART 20261028T200000Z, DTEND 20261028T230000Z = 4–7 PM EDT).
