The Circle C Run Club's fifth annual Thanksgiving-morning Turkey Trot is a neighborhood-scale race (about 900 participants) through Circle C Ranch in southwest Austin. Festivities begin at the Circle C Ranch Community Center at 7:30 a.m., the 5K starts at 8 a.m., and the Kids Mile for children 12 and under starts at 8:45 a.m.; one parent per child may run alongside in the Kids Mile. Strollers are allowed on the course but scooters and bikes are not. Registration is online only, with separate links for the 5K and the Kids Mile, and there is no race-day registration. There is no parking at the community center or on La Crosse between Spruce Canyon and Escarpment, so plan to walk in. Questions go to turkeytrot@circlec.run.
