Lockhart State Park has its own golf course, and Ranger Steven takes players out on it for this two-hour on-course practice session. It is designed as the follow-on to the park's Learn-To-Play Golf series (Golf for Beginners 1–4), but players who learned elsewhere are welcome too, so it suits older kids and teens who already know the basics and want time on a real course with coaching. The park recommends it for ages 10 and up. Players bring their own clubs, dress for the weather, bring water, and meet at the Park Headquarters building on time. Space is limited and registration is online only through the link on the TPWD page; the class itself is free with paid park entry ($3 per adult, children 12 and under free).
