Music on Main is the City of Round Rock's free Wednesday-night concert series on Prete Plaza in downtown Round Rock, running through the fall and holiday season. Each evening from 7 to 9 p.m. a different local band plays (the 2026 line-up runs from Encore on Oct. 21 and Rock House on Oct. 28 to The Clutch Kings on Dec. 23), and the city adds free face painting and balloon twisting for all ages, which is what makes it work for families with young children. Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and either pack dinner or pick up takeout from nearby downtown restaurants. There is no ticket or registration; arrive early on mild evenings to get a spot on the lawn. The series has run for more than 13 years and is presented by Round Rock Arts and Culture.
