Leander starts the new year with a plunge into the Robin Bledsoe Pool. Participants can arrive any time between 10 a.m. and noon on New Year's Day, jump in, and take home a souvenir towel. Costumes and fun accessories for photos are encouraged. Admission is $10 per participant and sign-up is online through the city's recreation catalog. The page sets no age limit; young children will need an adult in the water with them and warm clothes waiting. Bring a swimsuit, towel, water bottle and warm layers for after the plunge.
