A three-day celebration presented by H-E-B's Our Texas, Our Future initiative: bring one single-use plastic bag or one plastic bottle per person and get free admission to the Wildflower Center (visitors without a recyclable item pay regular admission). The event page also lists tree-themed programming — guided walk-and-talks on understory trees and oak care, a tree-planting demonstration, and hands-on stations from 10 am to 2 pm with partners such as Texas A&M Forest Service, the Austin Fire Department's Wildfire Division and Capital Area Master Naturalists. Kids will find a scavenger hunt, bird nest-making, tree-parts crafts and yard games like cornhole and giant Jenga, plus s'mores at the fire pit (weather permitting) and a food truck.
