A Sunday afternoon nature-and-art program at the estuary center on Otter Point Creek in Abingdon. A naturalist explains why leaves change color in fall, then families head out in the peak autumn color to gather leaves and bring them back to turn into a piece of autumn art to take home. The program lasts an hour, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., and pre-registration is required. It suits families with young and school-age children who like collecting outdoors and making crafts; dress for a walk outside.
