The Oak Lawn Park District Community Theater stages A Christmas Carol at the Erica Heilmann Theatre in the Oak View Center on two November weekends. Scrooge, a wealthy curmudgeon who scoffs at Christmas, is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve who show him his past, present and future, and he wakes on Christmas morning ready to reconnect with the people who matter. The production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International. Evening shows are at 7:30 pm on November 13, 14, 20 and 21, with 3 pm matinees on November 15 and 22. Tickets are sold online; prices are not shown in the listing. The ghost scenes may be intense for very young children.
