The Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park hosts its holiday Miniature Train Show, an exhibit of model trains and miniatures open from November 30 through January 10. Open-house receptions are held on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6, from 1 to 7 pm, a good time to bring children to see the trains and the small-scale scenes up close. The park district calls it a holiday tradition. The listing does not mention an admission fee or exhibit hours outside the receptions, so check with the arts center before visiting on other days.
