The Bartlett Park District and Lisa's School of Dance present their annual Nutcracker: All Jazzed Up, in which local dancers perform to Tchaikovsky's score re-orchestrated into a modern, up-tempo version. Clara and her friends set off on the familiar holiday journey in a show the organizers describe as great for all ages, running about 90 minutes, which suits children who might not sit through a full classical ballet. Performances are at the Bartlett Community Center on December 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 7 pm, with 2 pm matinees on December 5 and 12. Tickets are sold online only through bartlettparks.org; prices are not shown on the listing.
