A community sing-along starts at 5:15 p.m., Santa arrives at 5:30 p.m. for the mayor's welcome and the ceremonial tree lighting, and from 5:45 p.m. children under 10 can visit Santa in the Peg Bond Center warming house for a treat (while supplies last). The Depot Museum opens its 'Hometown Holidays' exhibit, and the public library reads holiday stories during the evening.
