Through November 2, the Art Studio at Chicago Children's Museum runs a painting workshop about the medieval world's strange animals and monsters. Children mix up, mash up or reimagine creatures in their own medieval-style painting, or add to a collaborative mural. Sessions start at 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and hourly from 10:30 to 3:30 Friday to Sunday. Free passes are handed out at the studio an hour before each workshop because space is limited; the workshop is included with museum admission.
