During Thanksgiving week, Chicago Children's Museum turns its Great Hall into a fluttering fall ribbon forest. Children wander through it to see, touch and hear what makes a community special, then create their own leaf to represent themselves and add it to the colorful trees. The activity runs 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. on November 23, 24, 25, 27, 28 and 29, and is included with museum admission. It suits all ages, from toddlers who like the ribbons to older kids who want to design a leaf.
